december check list
December 1 2007
it might look something like this*:
: go to the radio city christmas spectacular, check
: take gifts to hfny for angel tree, check
: jesus’ birthday party @ all angels’, dec 1, check
(great party; thanks, tracy + crew)
: make spiced cider (the wasson family recipe; thanks, amanda)
: leave out wooden shoes on dec 5, oops we missed it! fg night.
: watch it’s a wonderful life
: nathan & henry: caroling at the dewitt nursing home, dec 6th
: read the advent book nightly
: find mistletoe, hang it in our house and kiss under it
: make christmas cards, address & mail
: light the advent candles each sunday
: read from our stack of children’s christmas books
: go ice skating (wollman rink)
: help the kids paint wooden snowflake tree ornaments
: candelight dinner by the christmas tree w/ cory
: have christmas tea with the morgans & brittany
: cory reads the greatest christmas pageant ever to us, check
: donate canned goods at school
: let the boys sleep under the christmas tree one night
: make a gingerbread house
(we did this with miss alyssa last year; we miss you)
: go to the museum of natural history on christmas eve day
: make ice cream sandwiches on christmas eve
we set aside our family hymn books
in december and print out carols to sing:
1. caroling at the nursing home
2. additional verses/carols
*parental note:
some years we do it all,
some years we do less,
we roll with the december groove, baby.
we’ll see what this december holds.

I often wonder why they don’t make cute little girl clothes in big girl sizes. It’s obvious now… as cute as those little girls look in those Christmas dresses, I would look completely ridiculous. Darn.

precious girls…
we drive to the city park as many evenings as mer can beg out of us (to see the large, fun, borderline tacky light display). We love our Noel Calendar…that begins today!
We do lots of singing too, M remembers several carols from last year and requests them often as we’re in the car… and it’s her job to turn on the tree lights each morning…
