remember when tim talked
years ago at mcm
about ‘third spaces’?
(surely he had a more savvy term,
but that’s how i remember it)

the idea is that because
urban apartments
are small,
we use public spaces
as an extension of our
private spaces.

well, i’ve had the sweetest time
this week getting together
with friends at my
‘other’
kitchen table.

of heavenly real estate
that is usually virtually
e m p t y,
full of dreamy sunshine,
and
you can take your time +
stay as long as you’d like?
(the rarest of combinations)
