happy birthday
to our favorite

it was so special
to celebrate her
last night after church,
on her actual bday.

(though it was far too cold
to sit outside, bummer.)

sitting around laughing
with friends +
enjoying her angelic self.

boy, oh boy, we love you, j.

as well as:
cheesecake + chocolate cake,
some of our favorite cheeses,
fairway olives*,
cranberry/white choc/macadamia cookies,
and no less than 5lbs of strawberries
and not one strawberry sliver remained.

i love it when she wears green.
or blue.
or pink.
or…

*i’ve long found olive boats intriguing.

so when i finally broke down and
spent the $4.95 @ gracious home
and proudly brought it home,
cory will not stop
teasing me about that thing.

granted,
it does look goofy empty,
but it’s so clever that
you don’t have to dig
your big ol’ fingers thru
all the olives in order
to choose your favorite.

and it does just look cool
on the table.
