old-school ways to send a message

12 . April . 2010

i sent a last-minute note
to nathan’s lovely teacher,
knowing that it was time-sensitive…

and it cracked me up
as i walked out my
front door and saw
her clever response.

yes, i can bring goodies to
help the kids celebrate
after their dance performance.

sweet.

post-performance,
the view from the inside:
his classroom windows look
directly onto his home,
small world.

from the stairwell:
henry + caroline can
wave homeward, too,
as they run between classes.

ps –
apparently she let the entire
class in on the fun;
as i saw the kids,
they all were asking,
did you see the note?
did you see our note?
?’

i did.

and brought last-minute sweets
to celebrate.

so proud of these growing fifth-graders.
